Seminary Trip to Carthage and Nauvoo

The end of March, James and I took my early morning Seminary class to Carthage and Nauvoo .  We studied the Doctrine and Covenants and Church History this year in Seminary.  Although pretty much all of my students have been to Carthage and Nauvoo a billion times, I couldn't pass up an awesome opportunity to go when we are only 2 hours north of Nauvoo.
These tulips and other flowers were at the visitors center in Carthage, they were gorgeous.
At Carthage- only 7 of the 12 early morning students, and one of my 3 homestudy students were able to go.

Walking down Parley street, and reading the journal entries posted.

Rock throwing at the river.
The statue of Brigham and Joseph by the river.

A replica ferry as used to move the wagons across the river.

The memorial to the Saints that died on the trek west.
A view of the Temple from Parley street.

The gang at the Joseph and Hyrum statues, across from the temple.

Some of the tulips at the Temple.

A view of the river from the temple.
