Cub Scout Day Camp for Seth

The theme for Cub Scout Day Camp this year was Cub Scout Safari.
Seth and his ward pack were in the Ostrich group.

Of course one of Seth's favorite day camp activities was shooting at the BB range.

We always call Seth our little monkey, and he really enjoyed his time on the climbing walls, they had three different walls, easy, medium and hard.

Seth and his Tribal Mask...

Day camp was held at Black Hawk Stake Park and Nature Preserve, it is beautiful. These previous pictures were of our Nature walk through some trails in the preserve.

The boys did a parade the last day of camp, our Ostrich group wore beaks and Ostrich feet (I made the feet, did you know they only have two toes, one big one with a hoof nail, and one little one without.)

One of the games the boys played their last day.

The fire dept. came and did a demonstration and let the boys see the truck and equipment. They loved that!
It was really cool.

Several of the Den Walkers (Cub Scout Dads) were firefighters, so we got a great look at everything.

Our top Boy Scout Administrator (faked) had a heart attack, and the trucks and Paramedics came in to take care of him. All the leaders knew it was going to happen, but the boys did not, but they were like, this is so fake, I can tell.

Seth on the Archery Range...

They made these huge sandboxes for the boys, and for one of the activities they just played in the sand, they had a lot of fun. But, I must say, they were short on tempers and scared me a little bit with how upset they got with each other. "Don't touch my sand!"

One of the activities was an Obstacle course, this is just one part of it.

We had a concert from "Guitarzan". It was really cute!!!

One day the boys went swimming at White Water Junction, it was really crowded, but they had a blast. We brought in 400 people with Cubs and parents. It was already so crowded, but they assured us they have a capacity of 887 people. Sure...

The Ostriches... Pack 260 and 311

Seth made a tool box, which will pass off his wood making requirement for his Bear rank.

This is one of the top guys for the local Boy Scout council, he was a great sport. Here he is as a witch doctor.
